“All roads lead to Rome”, they say, and our thoughts turn to the great consular roads that radiated through all the regions of our peninsula, reaching the distant provinces of the Empire. In the heart of the city, however, there is a maze of streets and alleys that tell a different page of the millenary history of Rome, “talking” streets with evocative names that still pass on the memory of the artisans and sellers who had their shops there.
